As I search the internet for things to help single parents with their desire to be the best parents they can be, I come across many questions posted by single parents.

As I come across questions that single parents are asking, I will post them in a new category called Single Parent Questions.  My hope is that you will be able to find answers to some of your single parent questions.  If not, leave a question in the comments and we’ll try to find some answers for you.

Just as a Note:  The answers to many of the questions do not necessarily reflect my own oppinion on the suject matter.

Ten years ago the Agoura Hills-based Universal Love Foundation opened its doors and its heart to assist struggling single parents and their children. On Oct. 15, it celebrated its 10th anniversary with a fund raising gala at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel.

During cocktails, guests enjoyed a boutique shopping experience presented by a variety of area vendors and a silent auction presented by Westlake Village auction company Bang the Gavel. The keynote dinner speaker was Elli Hakami, senior vice president of programming and production for BBC Worldwide. Dinner entertainment featured music by talented, local coloratura soprano Bonnie Bowman, as well as a performance by Malibu singer/songwriter/instrumentalist Naomi Louise Warne and her son, 12-year-old Gabriel Deibel. Warne and Deibel became a single parent family following the loss of their husband/father Paul V. Deibel, and sought help from ULF to work through their grief.
