Tuesday Ten - Good Charities to Check Out

During this week of giving thanks, I’d like to direct your attention to ten good charities that you might like to check out.

Toys for Tots help needy children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas. They play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable natural resources - our children.

3. Ronald McDonald House

RMHC has three core programs. Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Ronald McDonald Family Room extends the comfort of a Ronald McDonald House into the hospital. Ronald McDonald Care Mobile programs bring cost-effective, high-quality medical, dental and health education services to underserved children in rural and urban areas.

Children, Incorporated is a non-profit international organization assisting children of all races and creeds, administering to their physical, emotional, and educational needs.

5. Save the Children

Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating real change for needy children in the United States and around the world. It is a member of the International Save the Children Alliance, working in more than 110 countries to ensure the well-being of children.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
